Site update
October 7, 2007
There will be some video delays
because I am moving to a new place. Things should be back
to normal in November. I did change over to a different
VCR for the 1998 shows for better head tracking and audio
sync. Audio is in mono due to the source that they were
originally recorded on or from. Getting these shows preserved
in a digital
format is a bit touch-and-go.
Rita sent me some new headshots and
also
some
photos during her high school years. She looked
really cute growing up. :) These will be up on the site
next month.
New headshot

Here's a beautiful new headshot
of Rita that looks very professional and, simply put, is
one of her very best. This is actually a more recent photo
of Rita
rather than one that was taken from her "Later" days
which was mentioned in the last news post:

This image will be added to to the photo gallery.
Rita update
August 6, 2007
I got the chance to speak with Rita yesterday and she
informed me that she has an audition coming up very soon for a gig at Lifetime,
which
is
a
channel
you can find on any cable or satellite service. Rita said that the audition is
for
a
dramatic
role and that she really hopes to get the job because it's what she's been dreaming
of for quite some time.
Let's wish her good luck!
Another thing that should make everyone happy is that more photos of Rita are
coming to the web site. Rita said that she has some headshots
that
were
recently taken and
some
photos
of
her when she was a cheerleader in high school. There's also an older headshot
from when she was hosting "Later" on NBC coming to the site.
Rita
update
May 26, 2007
Rita recently e-mailed me and she
told me that she's taking acting classes and workshops to
help further her career. She's also spending a lot of time
with her family and is working on various side projects to
keep her busy. She also mentioned that the Web site looks
great
and wishes she had something to add to it.
I think most of us that visit the Web site on a regular
basis only wishes the best for Rita in whatever she does.
Let her know you still support her by joining and commenting
in the Forums. I'm pretty sure that she does read the comments
that are posted.
Video
quality update
May 2, 2007
The lower bandwidth videos have been upgraded from
512Kbps to 1Mbps, and the screen resolution is now upgraded to 640x480. File
sizes are
a little larger, but still small enough to easily view on a fast
connection. This was done primarily to eliminate the two-stage, re-encoding process
that
was being done earlier when converting the file.
These medium quality videos are great for loading onto a portable media player
that supports WMV files, such as a Zen Vision:M (what I use). iPod users
will need to convert them to a MOV file or another supported format in order
to
view them.
